Sunday Semas

Was cold as usual and hard to get out of bed. Arrived about 5 minutes late and not wanting to cool down too much I decided to do the warm up by myself and headed off back up the river alone. I held them rest off till just before Noda brodge which was 13km. At the half way mark I didn’t take my usual break drink and just made do with my water bottle. I didn’t feel like going hard today after yesterday’s run. (legs still a bit sore plus a case of the trots this morning as well). The 2nd group had about 8 in it so was nice and easy after taking a big pull at the front and then just sitting at the back. My 2nd pull came up with about 1.5km to go and I didn’t want to rotate to the back as there were too many to pass again in the sprint. I made a small burst at a barrier crossing just to scare those behind me a little bit and let them know I had some gas left in the tank.
I then just kept the pace brisk and tried to keep my heart beat low. With about 500m to go somebody decided to make a break for it. I jumped on his wheel and let him do all the work. We managed to open a gap on everybody else and I just let him take me home. With about 60m to go I just put the accelerator down and skipped to the lead.  I always tend to do well on days I feel bad.

4 days in a row of exercise plus one to go tomorrow. Yes, another long weekend for me. Supposed to rain tomorrow though. To get my planned quota in for the weekend I need to ride another 20km for the 100 and run 10km for the 20.  Will see.
